Why compass pest control was started
Nick started his career path in pest control in 2013. After almost 10 years in the industry, he decided it was time to make a change and provide a more reliable experience for his clients.

The idea of Compass Pest Control was born from my strong affinity for entrepreneurship. Growing up I worked alongside my parents in their business which taught me that working for myself can provide the flexibility needed to make time for my family. My love for my family and God is what drives me.
I squandered many hours thinking about a good name for my business. Turns out it can be as easy as asking your kids. My youngest child, Lincoln is the brilliant mind behind naming Compass Pest Control. During one of our daily drives to Nana’s (daycare), I had asked the kids what I should name my company.
Of course their first instinct was to scream out the names of their favorite cartoon characters. That made me laugh but I also felt slightly disappointed that my little scheme was not fruitful. Being a dad, naturally, I used this as a teaching moment. As we passed local businesses I named a couple and explained what it was they did for their clients. Of course I got minimal feedback from the kids after that. The rest of the drive was just like any other. Then from behind me during a lull in the chaos Lincoln says “Compass. You should name your company Compass.
